Malaysian GLCs are controlled b the following parties:
a) Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB)
b) Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT)
c) Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP)
d) Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH)
e) Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MoFI)
f) Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah)
They normally will control the GLCs by having a substantial shareholdings in the companies' shares. This is to ensure that they have a voting power during the companies' Annual General Meeting (AGM) or Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).
These GLCs were headed by qualified CEOs on contract basis in order to deliver the best perfomance throughout the marketable areas whether local, regional or internationally.
